How To Remove Blogger Attribution Widget

Blogger Has Many Awesome Widgets And Tools. But Some Widgets Like Blogger Navbar, Blogger's Like Me Want To Remove Them. Because They Dosen't Suit My Blog. In Today's MBS's Tutorial. We Are Going To Learn About, How We Can Remove "Powered By Blogger" Attribution From Your Blog. If You Are Using Blogger Templates, Provided By Blogger And Didn't Removed It Yet From Your Blog. Then You Can See It At The End Of Your Blog. In Blogger Blog's, Its Automatically Added Already. When The Default Template Is Activated On Blogger Blogs. Then A Blogger Without The Knowledge About Blogging, Can't Remove This Attribution Widget From The Layout Of His Blog. But I Found, That Removing The Blogger Attribution From Your Blog Is Quite Easy. We Just Need To Play With The Html Of Your Blog.

 Watch Attribution - Why Attribution Is Not Removable?

Removing Attribution Is Quite Easy. But We Are Going To Hide It From Your Blog. In Future You May Want To Show It On Your Blog. Then You Can Show It. It's A Bit Same Like Blogger Navbar. As We Learned In Previous Post.
First Of All We Have To Remove It. You Can See Attribution Link In Layout Section Of Your Blog. For Watching Attribution Widget In Your Blog. Follow Some Steps Below:
  1. Go To Blogger > Layout.
  2. At The End Of Layout Page You Can See A Widget Named Attribution. Edit It. You Will Be Able To See Window Like Below Picture.

How To Remove Attribution?


In Widget, You Can't See Removing Option. Right? Yes! Because, Its Locked Widget. For Removing This Widget, We Have To Edit Html And We'll Open Lock Of This Widget. So, Start.
  1. Go To Blogger > Template.
  2. Edit It.
  3. Find Following Code Inside It.
<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='true' title='' type='Attribution'/>

  1. Now Replace The Above Code With Following Code.

<b:widget id='Attribution1' locked='false' title='' type='Attribution'/>

  1. Click On Save Template.
  2. Now Go To Layout Section And Edit Attribution Widget.
  3. Now You Can See Remove Button Inside It.
Remove Blogger Attribution

  1. Hit Remove Button And That's All.

    When I press remove then save, it says that an error occured and false changes with true again.

      @Amru Shaban-Mohamed, Click Save Template Button After Changing locked='true' To locked='false'. Because Its Necessary And Wouldn't Change false To true Automatically. Now You Can Remove It.

    Hey man, its not working.
    well i did it at the XML mod.
    but when i was deleting it in the layout mod, it says there was an unexpected error x19. what is that ?

      @TechFPD, Did You Clicked On Save Template Button After Making Changes In Template? After Making Changes, Did You Seen Remove Button(Option) In Attribution Widget?
